A Low Key London Wedding

With a love of London, Katy and Garwin got engaged in a bandstand in Greenwich Park before planning a low-key London wedding. They were looking for an alternative wedding photographer in London to provide their dream of relaxed wedding photography.

The Venue: A Proper London Pub

The couple chose a venue that meant a lot to them, opting for the Trafalgar Tavern for their wedding. Having visited many times, they loved the traditional London pub vibe, with lots of history and a view of the Thames. They really leant into the pub theme, naming the tables after locals that held a special place in their hearts.

The Brief: Capturing a Low-Key London Wedding

With a recommendation from a friend, Katy and Garwin loved the natural style of photography I offer – perfect for their Trafalgar Tavern wedding. Katy told me, “I loved your style of capturing the real moments of the day, rather than too much posing.” My relaxed wedding photography style fit perfectly with their theme and the venue, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and capturing the real moments of the day.

The Theme: Love, Actually

Their proper pub theme meant plenty of dancing, and the couple chose a lot of old-school songs that they love to dance to. They told me, “We didn’t pretend to be cool in any way with our playlist!” They just went with what they loved!

With a reading from ‘Everything I know about Love’ by Dolly Alderton and an extract from Love Actually, they kept true to themselves and told me their favourite part was simply sitting at their top table and looking out at all their amazing friends and loved ones. They told me “We felt so grateful to have them all in our lives as we began our married life.”
